Mission

The Utility Contractors Association of Connecticut (UCAC) is a non-profit trade association representing the underground utility and site work construction industry in Connecticut. UCAC contractor members perform work to improve and enhance the utility infrastructure, which includes the following:

  • Site Work
  • Stormwater Sewers
  • Sanitary Sewers
  • Drainage Systems
  • Water lines
  • Cables
  • Ducts
  • Conduits
  • Gas lines
  • Tunneling
  • Boring
  • Trenchless Technology

Goals

Since 1970, UCAC has helped to:

  • Define, establish and preserve the identity and common interests of the Utility Contracting Industry.
  • Promote better relations between members, governmental agencies, other associations, other contractors and suppliers, manufacturers, engineers, and the public.
  • Disseminate information relative to the industry in which Associate members are engaged.
  • Encourage and provide education of the members in the economical and profitable pursuit of the Utility Contracting Industry.
