Confined space Training
Saturday, February 8th, 2025
9 am – 3 pm
Training will Cover:
- Introduction to both General Industry and Construction Requirements (some differences between the standards)
- Written Program Requirements (Contents of a program)
- Definition of a Confined Space, Permit Required Space, Alternate Entry Procedures (OSHA Definitions)
- Review of Atmospheric Hazards (O2, methane, hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide)
- Review of Physical Hazards (slip/trip/falls, LOTO, Engulfment, structures)
- Roles and Responsibilities (Entrant, Attendant, Entry Supervisor)
- How to work with a Confined Space Permit/ Checklist (How to fill one out)
- PPE Requirements
- Procedures (Sequence of actions, safe work practices)
- Gas monitor Operations (How to setup, sample, bump). Hands on Monitor use.
- Ventilation procedures
- Non-Entry Rescue procedures.

Kip has conducted trenching and shoring, confined space, work-zone, aerial lift, fall protection, HAZWOPER, electrical and heavy equipment safety training.
