Confined space Training

9 am – 3 pm

Training will Cover:

  • Introduction to both General Industry and Construction Requirements (some differences between the standards)
  • Written Program Requirements (Contents of a program)
  • Definition of a Confined Space, Permit Required Space, Alternate Entry Procedures (OSHA Definitions)
  • Review of Atmospheric Hazards (O2, methane, hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide)
  • Review of Physical Hazards (slip/trip/falls, LOTO, Engulfment, structures)
  • Roles and Responsibilities (Entrant, Attendant, Entry Supervisor)
  • How to work with a Confined Space Permit/ Checklist (How to fill one out)
  • PPE Requirements
  • Procedures (Sequence of actions, safe work practices)
  • Gas monitor Operations (How to setup, sample, bump). Hands on Monitor use.
  • Ventilation procedures
  • Non-Entry Rescue procedures.
