Tell us a little about your job.
As the VP of Sales for North America, I lead a team of 10 and oversee the region’s sales operations. My role centers on developing and executing sales strategies that align with business goals while identifying new market opportunities for growth. I am actively involved in coaching and training my team to cultivate a high-performance sales culture. With time zones spanning the U.S. and Canada, my phone is always on—while the East Coast winds down, the West Coast is still at work. In a market of this scale, staying connected is crucial. Another key aspect of my role is building strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and OEM partners. Since we sell exclusively through dealers rather than directly to end users, I negotiate major sales deals and contracts to drive ongoing success. Customer satisfaction and retention remain top priorities—keeping our customers happy is the foundation of our business.
Do you have any hobbies or passions outside of work?
I have been married to my wife Heather for 22 years and have two daughters—Madyson is 20, and Kyrsten is 16. As a family, we love to travel, whether it’s visiting Disney World in Florida or spending summers in Cape Cod. I also enjoy the outdoors, whether mowing the lawn, tending to the garden, or riding ATVs and snowmobiles. Being outside is my way of unwinding from hectic workdays. When I had more time, I coached my daughters in youth soccer as they were growing up and later spent a few years coaching at the high school level in our town.
Why did you apply to join the UCAC Board of Directors?
With my background in sales and the construction equipment industry, I aim to support UCAC’s mission of advancing the interests and professionalism of utility contractors throughout Connecticut. It’s always rewarding to contribute to the growth of a local organization.
What do you hope to accomplish with your time on the UCAC Board?
I hope to leverage my experience to strengthen collaboration between equipment suppliers and contractors, driving growth and innovation in Connecticut’s utility construction sector. Bringing more contractors into the association benefits everyone by enhancing industry representation, expanding access to training and resources, and improving workforce development.
