Viking Construction Named Best Place to Work
The UCAC Best Place to Work Award is given to a company that is going above and beyond to create a team environment where staff wants to be. The 2025 UCAC Best Place to Work Award will be given to Viking Construction at the Awards Dinner on April 24th.
A true general contractor with expertise on a diverse range of projects, Viking Construction’s experienced team of engineers, project managers and superintendents guide clients through each project phase. Viking’s ability to self-perform many aspects of the construction process allows them to provide competent assistance with cost estimation, alternative construction methods and value engineering.
Recent accomplishments include completing high-profile projects, including renovations at Sleepy Hollow Country Club, Armstrong Court phases 2 & 3 (Greenwich), Willow Creek Apartments phase 3 (Hartford), Westover Magnet Elementary School (Stamford), Strawberry Hill School (Stamford), and work on capital projects in 21 schools for the City of Stamford.
Viking Construction originated as a family business with roots stretching back nearly a century. Their customers often work with the same project managers and leaders.
They have also received the Hartford Business Journal’s 2024 Family Business Award and have been recognized by the Workforce Research Group and the HBJ as one of the 2025 Best Places to Work.
